  • What is the date and location of the event?

    Reclaiming Our Narratives will take place from February 26–28, 2025, at the Worth Gallery in Toronto, ON.

  • Who is hosting this event?

    The event is hosted by DiversityTalk (a Black-led, managed and owned company) and supported by the Ontario Cannabis Store with a focus on education, inclusion, and empowerment, particularly within Black communities.

  • What is the purpose of the event?

    This four-day event celebrates storytelling, resilience, and the rich heritage of Black communities. It aims to amplify untold stories, build inclusive conversations about cannabis-related stigmas, and promote cultural appreciation.

  • Is this event promoting cannabis use or sales?

    No, this event is not promoting or selling cannabis. The goal is to provide a culturally sensitive space to discuss cannabis history, its relationship with Black communities, and education around harm-reduction practices.

  • Is the event Black-led?

    Yes, Reclaiming Our Narratives is proudly Black-led, driven by leaders with lived experiences and deep connections to the topics explored. The venue Worth Gallery is a Black-owned gallery located in the heart of Toronto.

  • What is the cost to attend?

    Admission to the event and the visual exhibit is FREE. However, attendees must register for specific events, such as the Community Discussion on February 27, 2025.

  • Is there a dress code for the event?

    No formal dress code, but you’re welcome to come as you are. Feel free to dress comfortably or express yourself through your attire.

    Worth Gallery in Toronto is located in a central area with public transportation options nearby. Limited paid parking is available in the vicinity, and we recommend carpooling when possible. Further details will be shared leading up to the event.

  • What are the registration deadlines?

    Attendees: The gallery is open to the public until February 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm. Walk-ins are allowed.

    Registration for the community discussion on February 27, 2025, will close on February 20, 2025. Space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot soon!

    Vendors/Sponsors: Contact us by February 22, 2025, to confirm your participation.
